Margaret currently serves as the 2024 Board Chair for the Home Care Association of America (HCAOA). Founded in 2002, HCAOA is the home care community’s leading trade association—currently representing over 4,200 companies that employ more than 2.4 million caregivers across the United States. HCAOA’s member agencies provide medical, skilled, personal and companion home care, enabling seniors and individuals with disabilities to remain in their homes as long as possible at a cost that is more affordable than institutionalized care. Home care also encompasses Private Duty Nursing (PDN), which is a medically necessary nursing service under Medicaid focused on caring for medically fragile patients, primarily children. HCAOA’s members and their caregivers assist with a variety of non-medical activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, eating, and other services necessary for seniors and the disabled to thrive at home.
As of April 2022, Margaret also serves as the CEO & President of RiseMark and Right at Home. Founded in 1995, Right at Home offers in-home care to seniors and adults with disabilities who want to live independently. With more than 700 franchise locations in the U.S. and five other countries, Right at Home is one of the largest global home care franchise networks. Since joining the organization in 2011, Margaret’s guiding focus has been on helping local Right at Home offices bring the Right at Home mission to life in their local communities. Through her own experiences as a family caregiver and consumer of homecare services, it is Margaret’s mission to deliver a dynamic business model and experience that best serves the global need for home care.
